BMI organizes the leading international education fairs in Latin America and have been involved in organizing events in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. In 2011, BMI celebrated its 25th anniversary.

Annually, BMI organizes the Salão do Estudante Fairs in Brazil  - March & September, the Expo-Estudiante Fairs in Venezuela - March, the Expo-Estudiante Fairs in Ecuador (in association with Senescyt) and Chile (Becas Chile) - May, Expo-Estudiante Postgraduate Fairs in Colombia - May, and the Expo-Estudiante Fairs in Colombia, Peru and Venezuela - September/October. BMI also operate the Europosgrados Colombia (on behalf of Campus France & DAAD) and organized the 2011 International Higher Education Conference in Colombia (for ASCUN and the Colombian Ministry of Education). In 2012, BMI will also organize The Brazil Postgraduate Fair in Sao Paulo and Rio de janeiro - October.

In addition, BMI organizes The BMI Agents Workshops in Brazil (March) and Canada (May), and is joint organizer of The Global Education Agent Workshop which will take place in Istanbul, in October 2012.

BMI offers a range of services to support the on-going marketing of educational institutions including the publishing of International Education Agents Database and printing (in Latin American markets), storing and distributing brochures to universities and educational agencies and assistance with individual meetings with University Directors and educational agents.

In 2011, 160,000 visitors, 675 international exhibitors from 21 countries and over 400 educational agencies participate in a BMI event.
