What is Expo-Estudiante Chile? Education Fairs are an opportunity to recruit directly from a market. At Expo-Estudiante
Chile, you will meet prospective students and their parents who have come to meet and compare the participating international education institutions. At the event visitors can also take part in the seminars, which run throughout the day and are given by institutions, associations and government bodies which cover visa regulations and education systems.
While many visitors do actually enroll for courses at the fairs, most schools consider fairs to be a quick way to raise their profile in a target country: it puts the school name in front of tens of thousands of potential students and gives them a chance to distribute materials, drive people to a website or engage in other marketing activities that will help increase the number of students in the short term and a regular flow for the future.
Where? The Expo-Estudiante Chile fairs will take place in Santiago, Antofagasta and Valdivia. The fair in Santiago, the Capital and most affluent city of Chile, accessible and familiar area of the city, one of the most affluent residents of the city.
Valdivia, the “City of Rivers”, is considered one of Chile's most beautiful cities. It is located 839 km South of Santiago, and has a population of approximately 130,000. Valdivia is home to several public and private universities. The largest and oldest university is the Universidad Austral de Chile. Other universities in the city are Universidad Arturo Prat,Universidad San Sebastián, Universidad Santo Tomas and Universidad de Los Lagos.
Antofagasta, capital of both the Antofagasta Province, has an estimated population of 319,000, making it the fourth largest city in Chile. Located in the Atacama Desert, Antofagasta is home to two major public universities (Universidad Católica del Norte and Universidad de Antofagasta). There are also several private universities, including Universidad del Mar and Universidad Mayor.
Why?The brightest students choose to come to Expo-Estudiante
Chile because they know they will find the biggest choice of high-quality education providers. If they go to private high school (as the majority of those who go on to study abroad will do) then they will have been given information on the fairs by counselors in their schools. Their parents may have given them the VIP invitation that they received with their subscription to Semana magazine or spoken to them about the adverts they saw in the education section of their newspaper or in an in-flight magazine advert. In many cases parents will accompany their children to the fair and we work closely with the parents' associations of all the top private High-Schools.
Agents know which events in their country get the best results and every one of the top agencies exhibit at Expo-Estudiante. The agencies choose BMI because from their experience of attending all the education fairs they know Expo-Estudiante delivers the greatest number of high-quality visitors and enrollments.
